Why just right and down? We want also left and upwards for mind map screen

Agreed -- a typical mindmap should have a "Central Idea" and branches coming out of it in all directions !! -- See Buzan mindmaps ...

I guess it would become clumsy pretty quickly. The way it works right now seems to be a pretty good solution on second thought. But that just might be me
