It would be EXTREMELY USEFUL to export all notes and attributes (hashtags, etc) into a spreadsheet or database table (CSV or Excel), for researchers to build a citations database for all their studies and sources. This would be so cool, to capture all highlights and comments in MarginNote and then have a universal file format for citation referencing while writing papers!! One good tool that does something similar to this now is Citavi, but it only works on PCs and laptops. MarginNote on iOS would be a much more useful tool for this, especially with its great visualization and mind mapping features!
